They have been professional superyacht captain and crew and Sam is a qualified marine engineer (marine electronics, mechanical engineering, telecommunications) and boat builder as well as a qualified superyacht captain.

Jess is a qualified superyacht stewardess and deckhand, and speaks English, French and some Japanese, Spanish and Bislama.

Kaleva Yacht Services is located on the east side of the Port Vila waterfront 400m south of Yachting World's fuel wharf, just before the large cement private wharf. The trimaran Kaleva is moored in front of their office.
